Optional, chosen at checkout

Buyer protection

Costs [to be set] of the order total (item + shipping), minimum [to be set]. If a covered problem happens, you get your money back, including shipping. Draft terms during beta.

What it covers

  • Not received: the parcel never arrives.
  • Not as described: wrong card, set, number, language, edition, or a condition worse than listed.
  • Counterfeit: the item is fake, confirmed through Hansa's review.

What it does not cover

  • Damage in transit when the item was packed and described correctly.
  • Changing your mind, or disagreeing with a grade from a grading company.
  • Deals or payments made outside Hansa.
  • Orders without protection. You can still report sellers, but refunds are not guaranteed.

Buyer: how to stay covered

  1. Pay only through Hansa checkout.
  2. Film or photograph the parcel as you open it.
  3. Open a claim within [to be set] of delivery (or of the expected delivery date).
  4. Keep the item, sleeves and packaging unchanged until the claim is closed.
  5. If asked, return the item using the tracked label Hansa provides.

Seller: what you must do

  1. Show photos of the actual item, not stock images.
  2. Ship within [to be set] of payment.
  3. Use tracked shipping for orders over [to be set]. If you don't, lost parcels are refunded at your cost.
  4. Respond to a claim within [to be set]. If you don't reply, the buyer is refunded.

How a claim works

1. The buyer opens a claim with photos. 2. The seller responds. 3. Hansa decides based on tracking, listing photos and evidence. 4. If the claim is approved, the buyer is refunded. The seller pays if they broke the rules above. Otherwise the protection fee covers it.
